Fatima Garcia, AIA, NOMA, LEED AP, CAPM was born and raised in Hermosillo, a town in the Sonoran Desert in Mexico. After obtaining her degree in Architecture from Tec de Monterrey, she transferred to Arizona for work in 2005 and has been practicing in Arizona since. Her work includes educational, assisted living, and community projects. She comes from a family of educators and builders who have influenced her passion and career focus. She believes a more diverse profession means a more varied set of ideas and solutions that would generate projects with a more significant impact on our communities. By joining the team of Tracing Architecture, Fatima hopes to bring important topics within and outside our profession that impact our work as designers and community members into conversation.
